About the event
Fostering empowerment through Noemi Mendez, author of Marina Guardian and Besitos de Lejos, two bilingual books for our young readers. Noemi has been a great role model for young women in our community she has recently gotten her doctorate in Education. Now Dr. Noemi Mendez is on her third Children’s book “Because she believed: looking in the mirror of possibilities” this book weaves together the stories of extraordinary women throughout history revealing not only who they became but who they were before the world knew their names.
Doctor Naomi Mendez Is not only an author she is an educator a mom and a grandma. She has drafted these books in English and in Spanish to help nourish the minds of young kids but also encourage the love of reading. She has done incredible work to bridge cultural and language barriers for DMPS. We are so lucky to have her.
